faqWeb Hosting Web Design HOSTING What kind of commitment do I need to make? You don't have to make any kind of commitment to us. You may cancel at any time. We don't feel you should be trapped by your hosting solution. An exception to this is if you use our Extended Payment Plan, which would require a year's commitment since we are streching out your design payments instead of paying a one-lump fee. How reliable is your hosting service? We use a national hosting company that has 24-hour support. We have been around smaller companies that have their own web servers, which saves them money. But we have also seen that you will have difficulty getting a hold of someone if you are working at night or your web site goes down over a weekend. WEB DESIGN How long does the design phase take? This depends upon how large your site is and what your time constraints are. We can work very quickly if you need us to. We have several designers who do work for us so time is not a problem. Do you do redesigns of existing web sites? We really love to do web site designs. I guess this comes from having refinished furniture and redecorated homes. We get excited about seeing what a dramatic effect a redesign can have. We can even help you with editing your content so that you get a better response rate. Who does your web design? We have a team of designers to whom we outsource our work. You will have a project manager overseeing your web site who will interact with the designer. Why are your prices so inexpensive? We understand what it's like to have a limited budget, and we don't believe that getting a web site should cost you an arm and a leg. We have low overhead and believe that a person or company should get what they pay for, not have to pay extra because the web design firm has to pay for their Foosball table and expensive real estate. What do I need to give you to get started? We will need your logo, content for the pages, and any images of you would like on the site, such as products or pictures of people in your company. We have resources for inexpensive pictures and graphics.

What exactly is search engine marketing? Roughly 85% of all web pages are found through the search engines. People use the two main search engines, Google and Yahoo!, by typing in a certain phrase concerning the topic they are interested in. On a search engine results page, there are two places a person can go to find information. First, there are the organic listings, which don't cost you any money to be in. You just need to make sure your site has been optimized well to be found by the search engines. Second, there are sponsored links, usually at the top or to the right, that the advertiser such as your self would pay a small amount each time someone clicks on the sponsored link. This is called pay per click advertising (explained below).
What is pay per click advertising? We will create pay per click accounts on Google Adwords and Overture ( feeds Yahoo! and MSN ), and bid on certain key phrases that people are using to find a site like yours. When someone is clicks on your link, your account will be charged. You would determine an upper limit of how much you are willing to spend each month. You will get people to your site who are sincerely interested in your products, so you are developing good leads. We will also set up tracking so we know which particular phrases are getting you the most business and which ones aren’t. Once we know this, we can concentrate your budget on the phrases that are working best for you. We will manage your account
by looking at your account on a regular basis, making appropriate changes,
and sending you monthly reports concerning the traffic that has come
to your site.
What is search engine optimization? This is how the process goes: We will research what phrases will be best for your site and then format your site for the search engines to be able to index you as best as possible. We will then submit you to the major search engines and directories. We will also work on developing links into your site in order to get you more traffic but more importantly, increase your link popularity. We would focus optimizing several pages for the search engines. We will concentrate on two phrases per page, which is the recommended standard. Monthly management is important to keep your
site high on the search engines and move it up higher. With the management,
we would give you a report on how well you are doing on the search engines,
tweak the site if necessary, and re-submit the site to the search engines.
We estimate you will see significant results within four months because
it takes a while to get your pages indexed on the various search engines.
